PM: Cambodia’s Position on the Russia-Ukraine War Remains the Same, We Oppose the Use of Force

KANDAL: Prime Minister Hun Sen affirmed that Cambodia's position remains the same in regard to the use of aggression force in and against other countries.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of National Road No. 21 from Takhmao City to the Vietnamese border on Wednesday morning (23 March), Prime Minister Hun Sen said that a Cambodian delegation asked for his opinion on whether to oppose or abstain on the vote regarding Russian aggression against Ukraine.

He responded by saying that Cambodia’s position remains the same.

"Our political line is that we do not support aggression from one country to another. This is our absolute position," he said.

On 3 March, Cambodia voted with 140 other countries to support a UN resolution calling for the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine within internationally recognized borders.
